About

Ever since she was a child, Alia Al-Khalili found comfort in drawing cartoons, playing in nature, and learning about animals. While doodling in class, Alia loved the illustrations she saw in science textbooks and set a goal to pursue illustration as a career in hopes of inspiring others (although she believed that being an astronaut would be quite awesome as well).Specializing in scientific illustration, graphic design, editorial, and spot illustrations, Alia is a graduate of the Honours Bachelor's Illustration program at Sheridan College. She applies her skills, experiences, and knowledge developed over 10 years to passionately deliver the best for clients. When taking a break from making art, Alia enjoys hiking, listening to rock music, rewatching 90s movies, browsing antique stores, and reading books at local libraries.Alia is always looking for work and collaboration opportunities. Joshua's Creek Trail Hike. April 23rd 2025.

This was my first time visiting Joshua's Creek trail in Oakville. The weather was starting to warm up again, and what better way to celebrate than going on a hike with friends? Near the end of the trail is Lake Ontario, and watching the seemingly infinite horizon felt liberating.

Nearby Pond in Oakville. April 25th 2025.

Birds were chirping and singing more than usual that day. Cardinals, grackles and red-winged blackbirds all around me. I found my way under a willow tree and enjoyed nature's music. With a surprise visit from our local heron.

Gairloch Gardens. April 27th 2025.

On this sunny weekend, people rushed to go outside. Walking by Lakeshore in Oakville, observing the beginning of cherry blossoms, and drawing was on my agenda for the day. You can find the Oakville Galleries at Gairloch Gardens by the water, and having the opportunity to volunteer there for the summer art camp was a great way for me to get firsthand experience with art camps.
